Temporary Recreation Programmer

The Township of Schreiber is seeking a Recreation Programmer to fill a parental leave. This leave begins November 7, 2022 and may last up to six months.

The normal hours of work for the Recreation Programmer shall be scheduled as follows:

From Monday to Friday, at seven (7) hours per day, between the hours of 08:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. with a one (1) hour unpaid lunch.

The minimum qualifications required:

College diploma in Recreation Management or equivalent work experience.
Three to five years of progressive field experience (e.g. Recreation Programmer, Assistant Recreation Director)

Wage range: $28.68 – $31.56/hr (CUPE CA 2022 rates)

Remember to get your skating pass at the Municipal Complex, children five and under do not require a pass.

Discovery Centre Season Closure Sunday October 16th, 2022

The Schreiber Discovery Centre and Rail Museum will be closing for the season Sunday October 16th at 5:00PM We have had over 3700 happy visitors to our newest town attraction.

Thank you to the Summer Students and the following volunteers Rosann Pelegrino, Rose Halonon, Matt & Sue Borutski, Tedd Jordan, Cathy Cook, Laureen Kay, Joyce Bertholot, Terry Thompson, Shirley Hamilton, Angie Hewson, Tom Quinton, Brayden Ferland, and Ray Gionet.

We are looking forward to re-opening 2023!
