The Corporation of the Township of Schreiber has been actively updating its Township planning and monitoring processes as the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) situation evolves around the world and in Canada.

Mayor Dave Hamilton and Township Administration are in regular contact with health officials, to monitor the situation and the response from the Public Health Agency of Canada and the Ontario Ministry of Health.

Gym Memberships – For all current fitness room/gym memberships, the Township of Schreiber shall extend those affected gym memberships for each day that the 24-hour gym is closed.

The following Township Facilities are CLOSED to the public until further notice:

  • Fitness Room
  • Saunas
  • Community Hall
  • Arena
  • Library
  • Court Services
  • Senior Centre
  • Gymnasium
  • Municipal Complex

OPEN Limited Hours – Landfill Hours (as of March 19, 2020) – Saturdays – 10am to 4pm and Wednesdays – 1pm to 5pm

All essential municipal services will be maintained as well as continuity of governance and business operations.

Property Taxes & Water Bills

The Schreiber Municipal Complex will be OPEN for phone calls only and payments that can be made over the phone during our regular business hours – Monday to Friday: 8:30am to 4:30pm

Tax and Water payments are still being accepted through the following means:

  • Electronic means (telephone, online, or mobile banking)
  • In person at your financial institution
  • Mail or Courier (cheque or money order; do not send cash)

Ensure that the amount on the cheque reflects the exact owing, and include the remittance portion of your tax and water bill. Note that payments are processed on business days only.
