We are a Literacy and Basic Skills program for adults in Schreiber, Terrace Bay, Marathon and surrounding communities. SNALA helps individuals learn the skills needed to find a job, further your education, read or write more independently, or improve your computer skills. Examples of assistance that SNALA provides includes but is not limited to preparing for GED exam, preparing for aptitude tests and Red Seal Certification, online education courses, basic reading and writing skills, computer skills, Microsoft Office skills, and math skills and upgrading.

Contact North | Contact Nord helps educationally underserved Ontarians in 600 small, rural, remote, Indigenous and Francophone communities get a degree, diploma, or certificate from Ontario’s public colleges and universities, or to upgrade their skills, via online learning without leaving their communities. Our online learning recruitment team can help you research program and course options, assist with applications, set up key connections with post-secondary institutions, identify funding and grant options, and invigilate exams. The online learning centres in Schreiber and Terrace Bay offer students access to computer workstations and high-speed Internet to help them complete their online courses.
