THE TOWNSHIP OF SCHREIBER Requires a Chief Administrative Officer / Clerk

The Township of Schreiber, located on the northern shore of Lake Superior, is a vibrant, friendly community where family and community values are appreciated and lifestyle opportunities are second to none. The Township is looking to recruit a CAO/Clerk to provide strategic leadership to staff in today’s changing and challenging environment.

Working closely with a progressive Mayor and Council, the CAO/Clerk is the senior administrative position and acts as advisor and liaison to Council. As a successful candidate, you are an accomplished generalist and excellent communicator, and have several years of broad municipal sector experience in a senior management position.

You have a thorough knowledge of governance, municipal law, applicable provincial and federal legislation, human resources, labour relations, finance, computer applications and project management. You are tactful and diplomatic, a skillful team builder and excel in working with a broad array of stakeholders. You possess a proven track record of effective leadership to serve the needs of the Mayor and Council in developing, implementing, and managing strategic initiatives, business plans and change.

As the ideal candidate, you likely have a university degree in public administration or a related discipline and CMO/AMCT designation, or have an equivalent combination of education and experience. You have a demonstrated commitment to life-long learning.
